Preconditioned Sale Requirements
1. Weaned and fed a Balanced Feed Ration for a minimum of 60 days
2. Trained to eat feed from a bunk and drink water from a trough.
3. Dehorned and healed completely.
4. Castrated at least 45 days before the sale and healed completely.
5. Treated for grubs and lice according to label recommendations for time of year.
6. Dewormed a maximum of 60 days before the sale.
7. Vaccinated for Clostridia (7 or 8 way). Vaccinated and boostered for IBR, Pl3, BVD, and BRSV-PLEASE REFER TO HEALTH PROTOCOL- attached at bottom
8. Vaccinated for Manheimia haemoltica (pasteurella).
9. 2nd Shot completed no later than 14 days prior to sale, or more than 100 days prior to sale.
10. Identified and Tagged on the Farm with official Athens Precondition Tag.
11. Producers must complete and sign a REQUIRED Health and Certification Form.
*Bulls, stags, and horned cattle will be sold separately!!
ALL HEIFERS WEIGHING 600LBS OR MORE WILL BE PREGNANCY TESTED
PRODUCERS THAT HAVE HEIFERS THAT ARE PREGNANT WILL HAVE 3 OPTIONS:
1. SALE HEIFER TAGGED AS BRED
2. STOCKYARD CAN HOLD HEIFER OVER TO THE NEXT REGULAR TUESDAY SALE PER PRODUCER'S REQUEST
3. PRODUCER MAY TAKE HEIFER BACK HOME
